Going back over a century to 1895, founders Alonzo Fowler Kempton and Charles Kerr planted the seed of what grew to be Wawanesa Insurance today. Once backed by twenty investors (seven of which were named directors) and operated by three people (two of which were Kempton and Kerr themselves), Wawanesa has grown far beyond the small office above a drugstore into one of Canada’s largest general insurance companies.
